L’Orient

A traditional Nile sailboat of the style built at the end of the 19th century, the 120-foot L'Orient is the perfect vessel for observing life along the Nile. She features two decks, with six total cabins: two double and two twin cabins of the same size, each with a private bathroom, as well as heat and air-conditioning. There are also two Suite cabins, also with private bathrooms, as well heat and air-conditioning, but with a small shared balcony (please note that the Suite cabins come at additional cost and each have one double bed—twin (two) beds are not possible). Meals are served outside on the large shaded deck, a fine place to relax on the comfy lounge chairs. Because the L'Orient is sail-powered only, we cruise with the breeze and come to dock under oar, though when needed, a motorized boat with a tow line is on hand. The L'Orient is a fantastic and intimate way to watch the riverside scenes and enjoy a lovely pace on the river in between our daily tours.
