Which Ireland Trip Should I Choose?

Whether you want a classic Irish experience or a walk on the wild side, we have an adventure for you

On paper, the main difference between our three Ireland itineraries is the region they explore: the southern region on Spirit of Ireland, the west on Treasures of Ireland’s West Coast, and the north on A Northern Arc Across Ireland. But in essence, each of these adventures will capture a different part of your imagination.

If you’re looking to explore the heart of Irish culture

Spirit of Ireland

This tour is an incredible introduction to both the country’s natural and cultural wonders. From taking in sacred Mt. Brandon and pristine Killarney National Park (but with special access!) to authentic pub life and traditional music in the lively seaside town of Dingle, where we’ll have an exclusive ‘session’ from internationally renowned musicians, there’s an authentic moment to be had around every corner. Not to mention that our Trip Leaders Con Moriarity and Ann Curran, know the south intimately, having grown up among its wild mountains and strong Gaelic culture.

If you’re seeking a wild and remote adventure

Treasures of Ireland’s West Coast

Of our three journeys, this tour is the most off-the-beaten-path—even our stops at popular sights like the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands reveal a hidden side that only our Trip Leaders have access to. While the coastal route known as The Wild Atlantic Way has brought more attention to this stunning region, it’s very possible to go hours without seeing other travelers here, thanks to the thoughtful planning of our local experts.

If you want untouched hiking with lots of history

A Northern Arc Across Ireland

Unlike the south and the west, much of Northern Ireland isn’t well-traveled, making this the ideal trip for those looking for a more intrepid experience—with a side of local geopolitics. “The trails we visit are only walked by locals and our groups are often the only ones hiking in these beautiful and wild places,” says Ireland Manager Katy Andrews. That’s not to say Northern Ireland isn’t home to some of the country’s marquee sites, from the otherworldly basalt formations of Giant’s Causeway and the sea cliffs of Slieve League to the mythical landscapes that inspired W.B. Yeats. In Belfast and along the way, we’ll learn about the political and religious issues that have shaped life here.
