Karolos Merlin

Karolos Merlin, or “Charles” as his English friends call him, has been leading treks through the Greek countryside for more than 20 years. Born to an Austrian mother and Greek father of English origin, he lived in Austria until he was 7, when his family relocated to Greece. After meeting his wife, they spent a few years traveling between Greece and Germany before settling down in Greece to raise their children. They split their time between Athens in the winter and Tinos island in the Cyclades in the summer. Karolos is fluent in Greek, German, and English and can often be found out on the trails on his mountain bike. He has a keen interest in graphic arts, digital mapping, and photography.
