Macstyl Sasao

From a young age, Macstyl proved to be quite the outdoor enthusiast in his homeland of Palau. At six years old, he was climbing coconut trees and mastering the art of capturing land and coconut crabs (local delicacies in Palau). He attended school in the Pacific Northwest, where he was introduced to kayaking and fishing for salmon, and later returned to Palau to pursue his newfound passions as a sustainable fisherman for his village. Macstyl soon became an underwater photographer, enjoys tracking dugongs, whales, and dolphins with his aerial camera, and hopes to use his data and imagery to help protect Palau's fragile environment and precious resources.
